summary
Unlike many American horror flicks, I Spit on Your Grave is remorseless in its execution, depicting a lengthy and disturbing rape scene followed by various ways of torture. Unfortunately, the second half of the film is basically torture porn and it's not as satisfying as it could have been since the bad guys are one-dimensional characters filled with unnecessary stereotyping. Nevertheless, I Spit on Your Grave is a solid remake that remains faithful to the original by delivering an unflinchingly brutal experience that will not soon be forgotten.
